The Opal crew is at it again! This time, they were out in Plainfield Illinois installing Beechworth Windows and new storm doors. One of the key gains here was energy efficiency, and of course the beauty and confidence in having Beechworth Windows. Opal did a full frame window replacement of 14 windows. This type of window installation is also called “new construction”. There are two types of window replacement techniques, insert and new construction. The full frame method is ideal, because the entire window can be insulated properly and water tight.

All windows are pre-measured and re-measured before installation to guarantee a perfect fit.
This is not a drill!
You can see here, how the entire old window frame was removed and a new window with frame was installed in the opening. The new windows are installed using a nailing fin and are back caulked, new drip cap and flashing tape are also installed. This will ensure a water and air tight seal all around the new windows.

Next, the windows are insulated using OSI Tech expanding foam around the window between the studs and new window frame.
Almost finished! Now for a little trim work and finishing. Installation of all new interior casing/trim comes with a full construction installation.
The frame color chosen is called Sandpiper Beige. The new windows have colonial grilles, which are between the glass for style with easy cleaning. We also installed high visibility insect screens. Looking good with those new Beechworth Windows!
